This end-of-year activity produces next year’s bulletin board

At the end of the school year, I section my two bulletin boards and invite the exiting 5th graders to leave a message for the incoming 5th graders. Requirements are that they write to inform, use paragraph style, and cannot use an idea already written on the board. I am amazed at how much they can recall about lessons done during the year. They then sign their name and future school.
