“Timez Attack” uses a downloaded computer game to improve multiplication table skills

To introduce students to a method of learning multiplication that is fun, stimulating and effective. Using the computer game, Timez Attack, will have kids begging to practice their times tables. This lesson provides an opportunity for teachers to get students excited about learning times tables and start the process of multiplication mastery.

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be excited about practicing and learning multiplication.

Computer, keyboard, and mouse for each student. (Ideally taught in a computer lab).
Download free version of Timez Attack at onto each computer.

Download free game software onto each computer. Take time to play the game to learn game concepts and game play. Reserve computer lab

After introducing multiplication. Pass out a timed pretest without telling the kids why. As a class, on each computer, watch the How To Play video from to introduce them to the multiplication mastery game they are about to play. Have each student start a new game and watch as children learn to build the answers, learn the answer, and beat bosses to progress to new problems and levels. Continue going to the computer lab frequently in learning times tables. Pass out a post timed-test and see the results!
