Use a simple item, such as a candy cane, to tell children the true meaning of Christmas, and teach them how to witness.

Read them the story about the true meaning of the candy cane.

Then, make candy cane cookies. (Use sugar cookies, 1/2 red ,1/2 white dough. Roll them out and twist them together. The bend the top to make a candy cane.)
Crush real candy canes and sprinkle on the top.

Let them make candy canes out of pipe cleaners.

Buy the cups kids can make, and print up the bible verses to go with the meaning of the candy cane. Glue them to red construction paper, and insert in the cup. Let the kids fill with the cookies they made, and real candy canes. Cover with red cellophane and put a bow. They can give them as gifts.
