Objective: To help students understand the concept of voting.

      1. Ask students if they know the story of

The Three Little Pigs

. If so, have them tell it. If not, read the story to them.

      2. Ask if they’ve heard the wolf’s side of the story. Read the book

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs

      3. Tell students they will now vote on which version of the story they believe is the true one.

      4. Students will take turns voting by marking a slip of paper.

      5. Count the votes after all students have made a choice.

      6. Explain that the selected version is now the true story.

    7. Relate this to how our government decides disputes and makes new laws for us to follow.
