The True Story of the Three Little Pigs

- Ballot box (shoebox)
- Voting slips
Objective: To help students understand the concept of voting.
Procedure:
- 1. Ask students if they know the story of
The Three Little Pigs
- . If so, have them tell it. If not, read the story to them.
- 2. Ask if they’ve heard the wolf’s side of the story. Read the book
The True Story of the Three Little Pigs
- .
- 3. Tell students they will now vote on which version of the story they believe is the true one.
- 4. Students will take turns voting by marking a slip of paper.
- 5. Count the votes after all students have made a choice.
- 6. Explain that the selected version is now the true story.
- 7. Relate this to how our government decides disputes and makes new laws for us to follow.
