Does anyone remember one of the simple machines we talked about yesterday. Lets see if we can name all of them together. Then write them on the board. Now lets get out the chart and see if we named them all.


I will assign each table a specific simple machine and together I want your group to make pictures of examples of that simple machine. These are going to be on our bulletin board for the rest of this unit. In the middle of the white construction paper I want you to write the name of the Simple Machine I assigned you so we all know what it is. You can use markers, crayons, or watercolors if you wish. Everyone is to help with the poster in your group. This is not for a grade.


Have children present their posters after 25 minutes to the class. Have each person tell what their drawing is. Then hang it on a Bulletin board for all to see.
